Ecopharma

This exhibition is presented as a result of the conversation that the artist Cristina Ochoa establishes with other artists around ecofeminism, interspecies relations with the plant world, fungi and other microorganisms with which we live. Aspects that are directly related to the Pharmakon project, Psicotropical Garden, which will be presented simultaneously in the Carlos Drews Castro Hall.

The works presented at Ecopharma are part of the research processes of the participating artists and were chosen with dialogue in mind and the need to generate a critical ecosystem based on political concerns about mutual care, food and pharmaceutical sovereignty, health, drugs, their legal and ritual aspects, and ecology. These pieces function as gestures of resistance, and as reflections by artistic practices that react to these problems.

Works by artists from different parts of America, Mexico, the United States and Colombia are brought together on this occasion, enriching this conversation.
